From my first steps onto the netball and tennis court, a flame for competition and teamwork ignited within me. The thrill of a game-winning shot and the camaraderie of a team huddle continue to satisfy my enduring love for sports.

Growing up, my weekends revolved around dragging my parents to brave the cold for early Saturday morning netball games, and spending lengthy hours on the tennis courts every Sunday. Now, I pay it forward by coaching netball in my community.

In 2021, I took the leap and enrolled on AUT’s Bachelor of Sport and Recreation, with a focus on sports management and marketing. Uncertain of what lay ahead, I can confidently say I’ve never regretted my decision.

During my degree I worked with Swimming NZ, where I played a pivotal role in developing club marketing resources for the NZ Aquatics Collective.

Fueled by a growing passion for making a positive impact and amplifying youth voices like my own, I became a Tennis NZ Youth Advisory Group member, soon being appointed as Chair, entrusted with helping Tennis NZ to understand and improve experiences for young people in tennis.

Now, working with Honoco on commercial partnerships and social impact projects I am embracing the opportunity to learn from those experienced in the sector, whilst providing valuable youth perspectives and insights to help shape the future of sport for the organisations we work with.

In my spare time, you can find me doing day hikes around Aotearoa, supporting my favourite sports teams (netball, NRL, rugby), and spending quality time with my family.
