I have tennis to thank for a 20-year career in sport.

Unfortunately not the type of career where I could retire at age 30, a grand-slam winner and multi-millionaire.

Instead, one that has connected me to an incredible global network, given me opportunities to coach in the UK and NZ, present at international conferences in London and Bali, drive Judy Murray around Auckland and chat with Queen BJK herself.

For 10+ years I worked for Tennis NZ in roles focused on participation, community, clubs, coaches, and technology.

Now I’m a writer. Mainly copywriting – writing to persuade people to take an action – something I’m well familiar with from 20 years working with volunteers and coaches.

I also write long-form content – blogs, articles, etc. My favourite topics are leadership, mindset, coaching, community, people, and anything case study-esque which holds social proof of things working. Sure, the theory is great but how you implement things and the results you get are what people really love to learn about.

Aside from tennis, I’m a lifelong Yeovil Town fan thanks to birthright.

And I can reference anything back to a podcast I once listened to.
