I’m a working mum to two young toddlers which means that I’ve mastered the art of juggling. A basketballer all my life, my love of sport and my competitive nature are authentic. In my professional career, I have 15 years of experience working in the sport and social change industries in both the US and New Zealand.

During the first chapter of my career, I worked in business and corporate development roles for the NBA, the NZ Breakers and Lagardere International Triathlon Series. Whilst working for these organizations, I saw the massive impact that sport had in its community’s and how that influence could be wielded for social change.

During the second chapter of my career, I stepped away from sport and into the non-profit sector. I began working for Healthy Schools Campaign, a social justice and education non-profit in Chicago. As the program and development lead for Cooking up Change, Healthy Schools Campaign’s national school meals program, we partnered with Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. I learned the powerful roles that policy and process play in social change initiatives. During my 5 years working for Health Schools Campaign, I also went back to receive my master’s in public health (MPH) from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

As a consultant now, I’m working with Honoco on commercial partnership and social impact projects with a number of national sports organizations and corporations. After attending the International Working Group (IWG) for Women in Sport in Auckland this past November, I’m renewed my career’s focus of social change initiatives in sport related projects. There is work to be done, and I’m an expert juggler, career-mum, up for the task/s at hand!
